Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy addresses a variety of life challenges.  Whether therapy focuses on specific issues or is intended for personal growth and development, the benefits can be life-changing:  you'll manage stress better; you'll develop new perspectives on your life and relationships.

Individual sessions typically last 50 minutes and can occur with various frequencies: weekly, two or three times weekly, or with lesser intensity.

Group therapy is available for individuals who want the support of others who experience similar life problems.  Groups meet 90 minutes and occur weekly or bi-weekly.  Groups are limited to 4-5 people.  Group members are asked to commit to weekly attendance and participation, and members are expected to respect the group's confidentiality.

Couples therapy is also available.  I practice Emotion-Focused couples therapy which helps couples learn to better communicate so that the intimacy of relationship is strengthened.

Supervision

Clinical Supervision is available for social workers, licensed mental health counselors, and other clinical professionals.  Group supervision may be available if there are sufficient professionals able to attend supervisory sessions.  Supervision is scheduled on a bi-weekly basis; individual supervision sessions are 1 hour and group supervision is 90 minutes.
